Interior Finishes

Laminate Flooring

  1. Clean regularly with a dry or slightly damp mop. Avoid excessive water, as moisture can damage laminate flooring and cause swelling.
  2. Wipe spills immediately. Prompt cleanup helps prevent staining and moisture penetration.
  3. Use furniture pads. Place felt pads under furniture legs to prevent scratches and wear.
  4. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Do not use steel wool, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals.
  5. Protect from heavy impact. Avoid dropping heavy or sharp objects, which may damage the surface.
  6. Control humidity. Maintain a consistent indoor humidity level to help prevent expansion or contraction.

Stone Countertops (e.g., Quartz, Marble, or Natural Stone)

  1. Clean with mild soap and water. Use a soft cloth or sponge for daily cleaning.
  2. Avoid harsh or acidic cleaners. Products containing vinegar, bleach, ammonia, or citrus can damage or dull the surface.
  3. Use cutting boards and trivets. Do not cut directly on the countertop or place hot items directly on the surface.
  4. Wipe spills promptly. This is especially important for staining substances such as wine, coffee, oils, or acidic foods.
  5. Follow sealing recommendations if applicable. Some natural stone surfaces may require periodic sealing as advised by the manufacturer.

Painted Surfaces (Walls, Doors, and Trim)

  1. Allow paint to fully cure. Newly painted surfaces may take several weeks to fully harden; avoid washing during this period.
  2. Clean gently. Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild soap and water. Test in an inconspicuous area first.
  3. Avoid abrasive scrubbing. Excessive rubbing may damage the paint finish.
  4. Address marks promptly. Light marks are easier to remove when cleaned early.
  5. Expect minor settling cracks. Hairline cracks or minor nail pops may occur as the building settles and are generally normal in new construction.
